Heel lining repair Stay on the heels
The heel lining is one of the parts of a shoe that are subject to the most stress. Even with quality materials, chafing and signs of wear can of course still occur. The heel lining for leather and GORE-TEX footwear can be repaired without any difficulty at our service workshop. Just because the heel lining is frayed doesn’t mean the entire shoe needs to be replaced. We remove the worn lining material – whether it’s leather of GORE-TEX lining – and replace it with a new piece cut to size.
Which parts of my shoe can be repaired?
You will find the name of your shoe on the label attached to the inner face of the shoe’s tongue.
How it works
The first point of contact for all repairs within the warranty is your LOWA specialist retailer. Thanks to their expertise, your retailer can best judge what steps to take, or if your boots should be sent for repair or to make a complaint. If it is a complaint within the warranty, then take the boots to the retailer or send them in if they were purchased online or elsewhere (all retailers can be found here). Always attach a copy of the receipt to the boots and a short letter describing the problem. The retailer will then look after the rest of the complaint process.

Remove the insole and laces from the footwear.
Pack your shoes in a box. Attach a short letter to the box, in which you briefly explain what repair should be carried out on your footwear. Please don’t forget to give your own address.

Now you need to be patient. Your repaired shoes and invoice will be sent back to your home within around 2 to 3 weeks.
